1. How does the web development process work?

Upon interest in a web development service, you will be emailed a document which outlines the stages of progress and additional questionaire for production benefit. After an agreement is met, a 50% fee will be required as an upfront deposit. Your total project cost will be processed before the service begins, a contract ("Scope of Work") will be arranged, and you will be billed accordingly. After the deposit has been confirmed, the project will begin. The emailed document will provide the rest of the stages of progress, which will be detemined based on your project details.

2. How long does it take to build a website?

Like anything, a good website takes time. Because EmoryArts focuses on professional solutions, it becomes a very interactive process that will evolve into a fantastic website for your business. That being said, to build a website properly and thoroughly, you can expect an average timeline of 4-6 weeks. Some sites will take longer due to their complexity, but one of the first things EmoryArts delivers is an accurate timechart for the project; complete with weekly update emails. With solid communication from the clients, meeting each stage of the project and delivering websites on time and within budget is achieved.

3. How will I be updated on the status of my project?

For your convenience, all projects will have weekly updated "saved-progress" uploads on the EmoryArts personal server. This makes it viewable to you so that you may see the latest revisions and progress of your project. Each customer will be given a unique URL location of their project (i.e. http://www.emoryarts.com/projects/yourprojectID#) so that they, and anyone they deem necessary, may use to see how the project is progressing. You will also recieve weekly email updates on the status of your project, for further convenience.

4. Is logo design apart of the web development process?

Yes and no. If you have an existing logo and would like it altered (i.e. color compatibility, dimensions, etc), this is a free service with any development package. If you require a new logo, a basic one can be created for you, which is also a free service. However, if you require a unique, specific logo design to be rendered, this might be considered an additional service in itself.

Favicons are also considered a free logo service, being created from your existing or new logo design.

5. Does EmoryArts build whole websites using Flash technology?

Unfortantely, no. At this time, EmoryArts doesn't have the time or resources necessary to completely coordinate a website design using only Adobe Flash. However, this leaves room for improvement in the near future. With Flash Content Management Systems Technology recently being released to the web, creating complete Flash functionality to web development is becoming a time efficient task. With further research being done, EmoryArts may soon offer this service. Until then, other Flash services are being offered to clients.

6. What sort of Flash services does EmoryArts provide?

The most common services are Flash Introductions and basic web development functionality (i.e. navbar buttons, slideshows, banners, etc). If there is something specific that you require, there's a good possibility that we can do it for you. If it's something complex, we can hire in a 3rd-party coder at no profit-cost against you to get the job done for you.

7. What does the Web Development / Graphic Design Retainer include?

Maintaining your own website can be very time-consuming and difficult to do on your own. This is where the Retainer options come into play. EmoryArts provides additional web development & graphic design services on a monthly-contract system. This includes many different fields of works; digital advertisements, basic website updates, vBulletin upkeep (see below), online & offline advertising and other additional forms of business maintainence.

The use of the Retainer contract comes in handy if you need any assistance with vBulletin technology. The contract includes help in all internal workings of vBulletin, directly from your cPanel. This also includes any transfers from one CMS/forum technology (phpBB, Joomla, Drupal, etc.) to vBulletin.

8. If I'm working around a tight budget, am I still able to get EmoryArts to work on it?

Absolutely. Maintaining your own business while trying to promote the advertising aspect of it can't be a tedious, and costly, process. That's where EmoryArts comes into play. If you have a set dollar amount you are wanting to spend on a specific project, we can work with you on payment concerns. While not every job can be handled as such, we are willing to set-up a number of payment options for you to choose from, for your convenience.

If you are an online-only source of business, EmoryArts is also an online entrepreneur seeking investment opportunities where may seem potential. This is also an option for payment source and/or retainer fees.

9. What does your hosting package include?

EmoryArts offers a flexible hosting package that is geared towards each client’s storage, transfer, security and database requirements. Both shared and dedicated hosting environments are available. Additionally, the hosting package includes maintenance time, traffic statistics, and 24x7 technical pager support in case of emergencies. Since maintenance time is worked into the hosting package, EmoryArts also takes the client’s internal business operations into account to determine accurate monthly maintenance hours. EmoryArts will work with you to create a hosting package to fit your website needs.

10. Does EmoryArts provide assistance with other CMS technologies?

The only exception would be for eCommerce web development. EmoryArts is partnered with vBulletin in the efforts to help standardize the web format. With the release of vBulletin Publishing Suite, it's now possible to use the technology to handle all aspects of necessary web development formats that are currently desired; blogs, Content Management System modules, & forums. EmoryArts works well with vBulletin to use these technologies to help empower your web development project.

EmoryArts personally handles any transfers from one CMS/forum technology (phpBB, Joomla, Drupal, etc.) to vBulletin.
